It has been suggested that an anisotropy signal above Ethr produced by heavy nuclei of charge Z should be accompanied by an anisotropy signal above Ethr/Z produced by protons from the same source. We investigate this prediction for a realistic scenario using structured magnetic fields, source distributions following the large scale structure, a multi-component composition of UHECRs and all relevant energy loss processes. The deviations from the simple analytic prediction for low energy anisotropy are discussed as well as the effects on current limits on the UHECR composition at the sources.
