Measurement of tt cross-section systematic uncertainties for 1-b and 2-b tagged samples in the lepton plus jets channel at ATLAS — •Andrey Khoroshilov, Marcello Barisonzi, Peter Mättig, and Markus Mechtel — Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Wuppertal, Germany

The ability to identify jets originating from b-quarks is important for the measurement of the tt cross-section. This information allows one to distinguish between signal and background events, significantly increasing the purity of selected data. The lower number of events of the 2-b tag sample is compensated by a higher background rejection. Hence, systematic errors for such processes as W+jets and QCD multijet are strongly suppressed for 2-b tag sample. The study provides comparison of systematic uncertainties for 1-b and 2-b tag samples.
