Measurement of the top quark mass with the decay length method at the ATLAS experiment — •Christian Jung, Hendrik Esch, Reiner Klingenberg, and Ingo Burmeister — Experimentelle Physik IV, TU Dortmund
The decay length method exploits the Lorentz boost of emerging B hadrons from top quark decays to determine the top quarks mass. Its main feature is the independence from the jet energy scale due to only requiring tracking information. The application to ATLAS data of √s= 7 TeV center of mass energy is presented.
