Search for supersymmetry with jets, missing transverse momentum, and two or more taus with the ATLAS detector — Wolfgang Ehrenfeld1, •Dörthe Kennedy1,2, and Steffen Schaepe3 — 1DESY Hamburg — 2Universität Hamburg — 3Universität Bonn
Gauge Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking (GMSB) models provide an interesting alternative to the well known mSugra breaking mechanism. Due to the sole coupling of the NLSP to the LSP the phenomenology is highly determined by the mass hierarchy. Since in a great part of the parameter space the stau is the NLSP final states containing up to four taus are to be expected.
In this talk, a search for ditau events with large missing transverse momentum and jets using 2 fb−1 of proton-proton collision data at √s = 7 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector will be presented. No excess of events was observed above the Standard Model prediction and 95 % Confidence Level (CL) limits are set on the production cross section and on the GMSB breaking scale Λ independent of tanβ.
