Development of an FE-I4 based test beam telescope — •Theresa Obermann, Norbert Wermes, Fabian Hügging, Hans Krüger, Malte Backhaus, Jens Janssen, David-Leon Pohl, Marlon Barbero, and Carlos Marinas — Physikalisches Institut, Bonn, Deutschland

USBpix is an FPGA based test system for the ATLAS pixel read-out chips FE-I3 and FE-I4. This modular system can be used to analyze bare read-out chips or assemblies consisting of a sensor bump-bonded to a read-out chip. An important instrument for the characterization of new sensors are test beam telescopes. They are used to measure the efficiency and spatial resolution of the device under test. Therefore the integration of USBpix into the existing EUDET-JR1-telescope and in particular its DAQ has been done. A standalone USBpix telescope has also been successfully built and tested within EUDAQ - the DAQ of EUDET. The follow-up project - AIDA - continues maintaining the infrastructure developed within EUDET. In particular the analysis software EUTelescope of this framework will be used to reconstruct tracks. This talk will give an overview about the requirements of a USBpix telescope and its implementation. The status of development will be shown and results from new measurements will be discussed. In addition, the usage of an FE-I4 chip as a triggering device within a telescope based on FE-I4 and FE-I3 assemblies will be shown.
