A multiparticle jet simulation for PandoraPFA using the CALICE testbeam data. — •Sergey Morozov — DESY/University of Hamburg
To perform validation studies for International Linear Collider (ILC) the CALICE collaboration has developed and constructed a highly granular analog hadron calorimeter prototype (AHCAL) based on iron absorber plates and scintillator tiles with a silicon photo-multiplier (SiPM) read out. This detector provides highly segmented 3D images which are used to study electromagnetic and hadronic showers. The CALICE data collected at testbeams in CERN and FNAL will serve to validate the concept of particle flow reconstruction algorithm (PFA) as an innovative method to achieve the required 30%√E jet energy resolution. An overview of using the CALICE testbeam data samples to build multiparticle jets for a particle flow validation studies will be given. The first results of using the PandoraPFA algorithms on "pseudo-real" jets in the highly granular hadron calorimeter will be presented.
