Polarized positron and electron beams are foreseen at the ILC. The scheme for polarizing the positrons is based on a helical undulator radiation and has been chosen as the baseline. Initially, the positron beam has longitudinal polarization. In order to preserve the polarization, the longitudinal spin direction has to be rotated into the vertical direction before the damping ring. Such kind of spin manipulation is achieved by utilizing a spin rotator. A new lattice design of a spin rotator, presented here allows for a switching between the two helicities for the positrons, i.e. the chosen spin direction is parallel or anti-parallel to the direction of the magnetic field of the damping ring. After exiting the damping ring the beam polarization has to be rotated back into the longitudinal direction. Spin tracking simulation results for the new and old lattices are compared and presented.
