New Chandra results of the complex unidentified TeV source HESSJ1841-055 — •Sven Wilbert1, Omar Tibolla1, and Sarah Kaufmann21ITPA, Universität Würzburg, Campus Hubland Nord, Emil-Fischer-Str. 31 D-97074 Würzburg, Germany — 2Landessternwarte, Universität Heidelberg, Königstuhl, D 69117 Heidelberg, Germany

State of the art Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkow Telescopes (IACTs) like the Very Energetic Radiation Imaging Telescope Array System (VERITAS) and the High Energy Stereoscopic System (H.E.S.S) made surveys of the sky in order to discover new sources. The first and most famous is the H.E.S.S survey of the inner Galactic plane. So far more than 50 Galactic TeV γ-ray sources have been detected, a large number of which remain unidentified. HESSJ1841-055 is one of the largest and most complex among the unidentified sources with an extension of about 1. Follow up observations of the HESSJ1841-055 region with Chandra and add-on analysis have revealed several X-ray sources spatially coincident with the multiple TeV emission peaks. The search for counterparts brought out the fact that not a single source itself but a bunch of sources could be indeed the creators of this diffuse emission region; among them the SNR Kes 73, the pulsar within Kes 7, 1E 1841-45 and also the High Mass X-Ray Binary AX 184100.4-0536 and others.
