Fragmentation processes after double ionization of Ne2 by (650 keV)He+ impact were studied. We report on the observation of Interatomic Coulombic Decay in ion-dimer collisions and show differences in the electron energy distribution of molecular and atomic Ne. A significant increase in the production of low energy (0-2 eV) electrons was detected. The experiment was performed at the 2.5 MeV Van-de-Graaff accelerator in the Institut für Kernphysik of the Goethe Universität in Frankfurt. The ionic fragments of the ionized neon dimers and atoms and at least one electron were measured in coincidence with the signal of the pulsed projectile beam in a COLTRIMS reaction microscope. Here the charged particles are guided onto delay line detectors by electrical and magnetic fields. Measuring the times of flight and the positions on the detectors allows the reconstruction of the 3-dimensional momentum vector of all measured particles.
