Bound states in dense plasmas — •Niels-Uwe Friedrich Bastian1, Heidi Reinholz1, David Blaschke2, and Gerd Röpke11Universität Rostock, Institut für Physik — 2University of Wroclaw, Poland

Properties of dense plasmas are strongly influenced by correlation effects, in particular the formation of bound states. A Green’s function approach is used to investigate the two-particle problem in a dense fermion system with special account of degeneration effects. Bound states are suppressed by Pauli blocking [1,2].

The equation of state (pressure, chemical potential as function of temperature and density) as well as the current-current correlation function are considered for a partially ionized Hydrogen plasma in the high density, degenerated limit.
