Studying abroad provides a unique opportunity for students to discover academic and non-academic life in other countries and to learn or improve a foreign language.

I present details about my year abroad in 2009/10 at the University of Bath in the United Kingdom (UK). This includes a brief introduction of the institution and the higher education in the UK in general as well as a discussion of costs and financing. I also present as list of courses I took and possible activities beyond academic life.
