Low-mass dielectron measurement for pp collisions with ALICE — •Markus K. Köhler — Research Division and ExtreMe Matter Institute EMMI, GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung, Planckstraße 1, 64291 Darmstadt, Germany
Dileptons are an important probe for the medium, which can be created in heavy-ion collisions at high energies. Thereby, proton-proton collisions provide a reference measurement for a medium free environment.
We report on the latest results of dielectron measurements in proton-proton collisions at √s=7 TeV with the ALICE detector system. Contributions from known hadronic sources will be compared to the data. We demonstrate that the hadronic cocktail is consistent with our data.
