A next generation search for the neutron’s electric dipole moment at the FRM-II — •Svetlana Chesnevskaya — TU München
At TU München a next generation experiment to search for the electric dipole moment (EDM) of the neutron is currently being set up. With a systematic and statistic uncertainty goal of < 2.10−28 ecm, therequirements for such a measurement are (i) a strong source of UCNthat can deliver a density of 103 per cm3 to the experiment and (ii)the understanding of systematic effects on an unprecedented scale. In this presentation an overview of the measurement will be discussed.
Emphasis will be given on effects originating from the instability of the electric field.
