Hadron physics - achievements and future goals — •Ulrich Wiedner — Ruhr-University Bochum, Bochum, Germany
Hadron physics covers a broad range of physics, from nucleon structure and the spectroscopy of quark and gluon states to hadronic interactions. Different accelerator facilities equipped with modern detector systems provide electron and photon beams, proton and antiproton beams, or high-energy lepton, pion and kaon beams. This talk will highlight the achievements of the past, portray the current state of the art by showing results from different experiments, and give a world-wide view of perspectives for the future at ongoing and new facilities.
