Status Update on the CRESST Dark Matter Search — •Florian Reindl — Max-Planck-Institut für Physik, D-80805 München, Germany
CRESST is a cryogenic direct Dark Matter search experiment based on phonon-light technique. It is aiming for the detection of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) via their elastic scattering off nuclei in CaWO4 target crystals.
In this contribution the findings of the last run will be recapitulated. Relevant backgrounds and the measures to significantly lower them in the upcoming run will be discussed. Information on the current status of the experiment and perspectives will be given.
