ttbar differential cross section measurement in the dilepton channel at 8TeV with the CMS detector — Maria Aldaya, •Ivan Asin, Wolf Behrenhoff, Carmen Diez, Tyler Dorland, Jan Kieseler, and Andreas Meyer — DESY, Notkestrasse 85, Hamburg 22607
The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector is one of the two large multi-purpose experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). With the very large integrated luminosity recorded in 2012, the amount of data allows for reduction in the statistical and systematic errors. Normalized differential top quark pair production cross sections in pp-collisions at 8TeV are measured using the decay channels into two opposite sign leptons (muons or electrons). The cross section distributions are measured as a function of kinematic variables of the final state leptons and b-jets and the top quarks. In the presentation first results using 2012 data sample will be shown.
