Study of the decay channel B0 → ψ(2S) π0 with Belle — •Elena Nedelkovska — Max-Planck Institute for physics, Munich, Germany

The Belle experiment is an asymmetric e+e− collider located in Japan, which was taking data at the KEKB accelerator until June 2010. It is the world’s highest luminosity machine with a record instantaneous luminosity of 2.11 × 1034 cm−2s−1. Most data at Belle is collected at the Y(4S) resonance, which exclusively decays into B meson pairs. The Cabibbo-suppressed decay B0 → ψ (2S) π 0 will yield the world’s first measurement of the branching fraction. The measurement of the CP violation parameters will give access to possible penguin contributions of the decay amplitude. The status of the analysis is presented.
