Search for the Higgs particle decaying into Tau leptons in the Electron-Electron channel with the CMS Experiment — •Jakob Salfeld and Alexei Raspereza — Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron
After the intriguing observation of a new boson at a mass of around 125 GeV at the LHC announced in July 2012 further investigations are needed to measure and scrutinize its properties against the Standard Model Higgs Boson hypothesis . In particular evidence for its coupling to Tau leptons has to be provided. In this presentation we will report on the current status of a new search for the Higgs boson decaying into Tau leptons with two Electrons in the final state with the CMS detector, and will explain the analysis tools and techniques to control and determine the background dominated by Drell-Yan processes.
