Search for H→ WW→ ℓν qq decays in ATLAS — •Rikard Sandström, Johanna Bronner, Daniele Zanzi, Sandra Kortner, Alessandro Manfredini, and Sebastian Stern — Max-Planck-Institut für Physik, München
A boson consistent with a Standard Model Higgs boson was found by ATLAS and CMS in 2012 at a mass of approximately 125 GeV. Direct searches in a wide mass range has excluded a second Standard Model like Higgs boson. For the boson masses above 250 GeV, one of the channels contributing to the search is the semi-leptonic decay H→ WW → ℓ ν qq, as the constraints from masses of the two on-shell W-bosons allow for a good suppresion of multijet and W+jets backgrounds. The ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider has performed a search for H→ WW→ℓν qq decays with √s=7 and 8 TeV. The talk presents the results of this search and the current heavy Higgs mass limits.
