Tau backgraund studies for 0-lepton channel in SUSY searches in ATLAS experiment — •Tomas Javurek, Zuzana Rurikova, and Valerio Consorti — Freiburg University
Aim of this work is to reduce events with appearance of tau lepton from SUSY 0-lepton Signal Region (SR-well defined region of interest by specific selection rules). We concentrate on SUSY scenarios where tau leptons should not appear or only rarely. Therefore, tau events rejection is needed. First step is to develop such kinematic selection rules in order to be able to reconstruct taus with high efficiency. Than we concentrate on impact of developed tau veto on signal significance.
