Search for new phenomena in the WW −> lν l′ν′ final state in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector — •Sara Borroni — DESY, Hamburg, Germany

In this talk we will present a search for resonant WW production in the WW → lν l′ν′ (l,l′ = e or µ) decay channel using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb⁻¹, collected by the ATLAS detector during 2011 at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. This channel is interesting since heavy particles that can decay to gauge boson pairs are predicted in many scenarios of physics beyond the Standard Model, including the Extended Gauge Model, Extra Dimensions, and Technicolor models. In this search a spin-2 Randall-Sundrum graviton model and one of its extensions, the bulk RS graviton model, are used as benchmarks to interpret the analysis result.
