Exploring new physics with solar neutrinos — •Antonio Palazzo — Max-Planck-Institut für Physik , Föhringer Ring 6, 80805 München, Germany
The last decade has seen tremendous progress in the field of solar neutrino physics, which is now entering the precision era. The accurate analysis of solar neutrino data enables us to determine two of the basic standard neutrino mass-mixing parameters and constrain new physics beyond the Standard Model. I will review the status of this field of research, focusing on two hot topics: I) The indication of new light sterile neutrinos implied by recent laboratory and cosmological searches and the possibility to test it with solar neutrino data; II) The hint of non-standard neutrino interactions suggested by the latest solar neutrino data.
