Development of a test beam telescope based on the FE-I4 IC and a configurable trigger plane for the ANEMONE telescope — •Fabian Schwartzkopff, Malte Backhaus, Fabian Hügging, Jens Janssen, Hans Krüger, Carlos Marinas, Theresa Obermann, David-Leon Pohl, and Norbert Wermes — Physikalisches Institut, Universität Bonn

Test beam telescopes have proven to be a useful tool for the characterization of new sensors, especially properties like spatial resolution or charge collection uniformity can be studied with them. The pixel readout IC FE-I4 is the latest generation of readout chips that has been specifically designed for the ATLAS pixel detector upgrade, the Insertable B-Layer to be installed next year. They serve as reference planes in the FE-I4 beam telescope presented in this talk. Recent redesigns and upgrades are expected to improve the spatial resolution of the telescope. Measurements and results with the FE-I4 telescope will be presented in this talk. Furthermore, implementation of the FE-I4 into the trigger system of the ANEMONE beam telescope, which is a copy of the EUDET beam telescope, will be discussed. This implementation makes use of the so called Region Of Interest (ROI) feature which will be explained in detail.
