Highlights from the MAGIC telescopes — •Daniel Mazin — Max Planck Institute for Physics, Munich

The MAGIC telescopes are two Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (IACTs) located on the Canary island of La Palma. The telescopes operate in the energy range 50 GeV - 50 TeV with focus on the energy range below 1 TeV. In this talk we present recent scientific highlights of MAGIC including morphology studies of SNR W51C, detection of Crab pulsar at energies above 100 GeV, detections of new sources and results from studies of sources in flaring state. We will also present the current status of MAGIC after the major hardware upgrade in 2011-2012.
