Towards a common analysis framework for gamma-ray astronomy — •Anneli Schulz1, Michael Mayer1,2, Christoph Deil3, and Jürgen Knödlseder4 — 1DESY, Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron — 2Universität Potsdam — 3MPIK Heidelberg — 4IRAP Toulouse
Current gamma-ray instruments allow studies of sources over roughly six decades in energy. In the context of the future Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) an analysis framework is being developed. Ctools (http://cta.irap.omp.eu/ctools/) comprises executables for the high-level analysis, based on Gammalib, a toolbox for gamma-ray data. The possibility to analyse data from Fermi-LAT, as well as current Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes like H.E.S.S. is being implemented, giving rise to the unique opportunity of a simultaneous analysis. We present the status of the software and a comparison of results with ctools and other analysis software.
