Polarization Dependent Photoluminescence Excitation Spectroscopy (PLE) Of ZnO/MgZnO Quantum Wells on m- and a-plane ZnO — •Axel Römer, Markus Wagner, Christian Nenstiel, Gordon Callsen, Max Bügler, and Axel Hoffmann — Technische Universität, Berlin, Germany
In this work ZnO/(Zn,Mn)O quantum-well structures are investigated. Through optical characterization methods we examined the recombination processes of different samples. Emission of the free and bound exciton vary with the well width as expected from earlier publications. Through photoluminescence excitation spectroscopy (PLE) we could observe the valence band structure of the quantum well, LO scattering processes and excited states. With polarization dependend measurements it was possible to identify the different processes.
