We present results of electronic Raman scattering experiments on detwinned BaFe2As2 above and below the transition into the spin-density-wave (SDW) state. We observe signatures of the SDW gap in all symmetries. The spectra indicate a strong mixing of the bands due to backfolding along the SDW vector. For analysis we calculated the Raman susceptibility on the basis of a 5 band tight binding model using the effective mass approximation. Prominent features in the Raman response can be traced back to a few interband transitions.
