Information entropies in Fe and Ni: Numerical evidence for electronic correlation in Momentum space — •Wilhelm Hans Appelt1,2, Diana Benea3, and Liviu Chioncel1,2 — 1Theoretical Physics III, Center for Electronic Correlations and Magnetism, Institute of Physics, University of Augsburg, D-86135 Augsburg, Germany — 2Augsburg Center for Innovative Technologies, University of Augsburg — 3Faculty of Physics, Babes-Bolyai University, Kogalniceanustr 1, Ro-400084 Cluj-Napoca, Romania
Various momentum-space properties are computed for Fe and Ni within the framework of a combined Density Functional and Dynamical Mean Field theory. We asses the effects of electron correlation in momentum space by making a comparison with the results obtained from the Local Density Approximation. We study the information entropy using the one-electron density in momentum space along different directions and as a function of local Coulomb parameter U.
