Search for new physics in the B system — •David Straub — Excellence Cluster Universe, Technische Universität München
The B meson system is an important laboratory to probe physics beyond the Standard Model. Observables related to rare decay modes of the B meson or to meson-antimeson mixing can be modified in the presence of new physics. I will give an overview of the constraints on new physics from measurements in the B system, focusing on the observables recently measured at the LHCb experiment. In addition to a model-independent discussion, the findings will be interpreted in specific new physics models, such as supersymmetry.
