Analysis of B → K l l at Belle — •Simon Wehle and Sergey Yashchenko for the Belle collaboration — DESY, Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron
Flavour changing neutral currents are forbidden at tree level in the Standard Model (SM) and are only allowed via higher-order diagrams. The SM prediction for the decay amplitudes of B → K l l can be calculated with small uncertainties. Non-SM particles can contribute to the decay amplitude, which makes these processes an ideal probe for New Physics. The decay B→ K τ τ is the experimentally least constrained and most challenging in the analysis. The decay of the taus comes along with at least two neutrinos, thus one needs to fully reconstruct the event to separate signal from background. In this talk, the current status of the analysis is presented.
