Status of the ATLAS Bs0 → µ+µ− Analysis with the LHC Run I Data — Peter Buchholz, Bakul Gaur, Iskander Ibragimov, •Halime Sazak, and Wolfgang Walkowiak — Universität Siegen, Department für Physik, D-57068 Siegen, Germany
The decays Bs0 → µ+µ− and B0 → µ+µ− are strongly suppressed in the Standard Model (SM), with predicted branching fractions of 3.65·109 and 1.07·10−10, respectively. The LHCb and CMS experiments have measured the Bs0 → µ+µ− branching fraction to be in agreement with the SM prediction. The B0 → µ+µ− branching fraction may be enhanced in SM extensions. These are interesting channels to search for New Physics at the LHC.
The status of the ATLAS Bs0 → µ+µ− analysis with the LHC run I data is presented.
