Measurement of the top charge asymmetry in the dilepton channel at 8 TeV using the ATLAS detector — •Roger Naranjo1, Cecile Deterre1, Yvonne Peters1,2, Sara Borroni1, and James Howarth1 — 1DESY, Hamburg, Germany. — 2University of Manchester, Manchester, UK.
A measurement of the charge asymmetry in top quark pair production is a precision test of the Standard Model predictions. Moreover, it may be sensitive to new physics in top quark production since new exchange bosons, predicted by theories beyond the standard model, could affect the top asymmetry. A measurement of the top charge asymmetry in the dilepton channel will be presented using data with an integrated luminosity of 20 fb−1 in pp collisions at 8 TeV, collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC.
