We examine the sound absorption coefficent of granules. We are especially interested in how the sound absorption depends on the state and the history of the material. Our experiment is implimented with variant of "Kundt's pipe" which sents an acoustic noise to granules and appraises the results. With these data we can calculate the sound absorption coefficient.
