A new setup for temperature and frequency dependent magnetic resonance measurements at high magnetic fields up to 12 T was built. It consists of a superconducting magnet and a gas-flow cryostat in a 4He bath. The FMR-probe is placed inside the gas-flow cryostat and contains a field modulation coil, a temperature sensor and the short-circuited end of a semi-rigid coaxial cable. The sample is placed in the near-field region of the short circuit and can be excited with microwave frequencies between 1 and 20 GHz. The sample temperature can be varied between 4.2 and 300 K. First data on the the field-induced transition between the antiferromagnetic and the ferromagnetic state of Mn3GaC are presented [1], [2].
