Transport properties of MgAgAs-type half-Heusler compounds — •Enkhtaivan Lkhagvasuren, Guido Kreiner, Siham Ouardi, Walter Schnelle, Gerhard Fecher, and Claudia Felser — Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids, Dresden, Germany
Half Heusler compounds are found to be promising candidates for many technological applications.
We present transport properties of several half Heusler compounds with wide range of band gap from 3 eV to 0.3 eV. The compounds show MgAgAs type cubic crystal structure (space group F4-3m).
LiZnAs and LiZnP show electrical resistivity of 10−1 Ωcm and 10−2 Ωcm at room temperature respectively. LiZnAs shows more than five order magnitude of electrical resistivity change in the temperature range from 100K to 150K.
