We investigated the possibility to reconstruct the peak voltage (kVp) of a diagnostic x-ray tube non-invasively by evaluating the emitted photon spectrum. For these purposes, energy-resolved measurements with the hybrid pixel detector Dosepix were performed. We obtained calibration curves by calculating specific features of the detected spectra for both pixel sizes as well as for different filtrations and dose rates. The results presented in this contribution demonstrate that by applying an iterative algorithm the kVp-value can be determined with uncertainties of a few percent up to dose rates of 720 Gy/h.
