Searches for New Physics at the LHC — •Christian Autermann — RWTH Aachen University

Searches for new physics, in particular supersymmetry, at the LHC will be presented. The data analysis of the successful Run I of the LHC, corresponding to 20 fb^-1 of integrated luminosity collected at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV through the end of 2012 and 5 fb^-1 of 7 TeV data, has not yet led to the discovery of supersymmetry. Nevertheless, interesting results have been obtained: The presented searches challenge new physics scenarios and probe increasingly complicated models and decay chains. Observed fluctuations indicate phase-space regions to be watched in the upcoming 13 TeV LHC run. Sensitivity projections for this data-taking period will be discussed.
