Multivariate background rejection studies in the gluon-gluon fusion production channel of the H→ WW*→ lν lν decay channel for pp collisions at √s = 13 TeV with the ATLAS Detector — Karl Jakobs, Karsten Köneke, Carsten Daniel Burgard, and •Ralf Gugel for the ATLAS collaboration — Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg
Background rejection studies for the upcoming LHC run II data from the ATLAS detector will be presented in the gluon-gluon fusion H→ WW*→ lν lν channel. Since the signal-to-background ratio at √s=13 TeV is expected to change significantly, compared to the data taken with √s=8 TeV, multivariate methods are used to separate background from signal events.
