Background rejection studies for the upcoming LHC run II data from the ATLAS detector will be presented in the gluon-gluon fusion H→ WW^*→ lν lν channel. Since the signal-to-background ratio at √s=13 TeV is expected to change significantly, compared to the data taken with √s=8 TeV, multivariate methods are used to separate background from signal events.
