Measurement of the pp→ ttbb cross-section with ATLAS 8 TeV data — •Spyridon Argyropoulos and Judith Katzy — DESY, Hamburg

The ttbb process is the dominant irreducible background for the widely sought ttH(H→ bb) and suffers from large theoretical uncertainties. Therefore an experimental determination of its cross-section is necessary. The talk presents the measurement of the ttbb production cross-section using 8 TeV ATLAS data. The measured cross-section is in agreement with QCD predictions with the precision being competitive with the NLO QCD calculations.
