Measurement of the transverse momentum of the Z bosons in association with jet at √s=8 TeV with the ATLAS Detector with muons in the final state — •Tai-Hua Lin, Mikhail Karnevskiy, and Matthias Schott for the ATLAS collaboration — Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Germany

The measurement of the transverse momentum of the Z boson at the LHC allows a precise test of perturbative QCD calculations. Preliminary results of the Z/γ^* transverse momentum are presented in the di-muon channel, based on an integrated luminosity of ∼20.3 fb⁻¹ recorded in 2012 at the ATLAS detector. In order to test the combination of next-to-leading order QCD calculations and parton shower models, we also present first results on the transverse momentum spectrum of Z bosons in association of one jet in the final state.
