Charge asymmetry measurements in tt production at 8TeV using the ATLAS detector — •Roger Naranjo — DESY, Hamburg, Germany
The charge asymmetry in tt production is a precision test for Standard Model predictions. It arises from interferences between next-to-leading order processes. This measurement offers a good discriminant for new physics models where the asymmetry could behave differently. We present measurements of the tt charge asymmetry in the dilepton channel in a fiducial region and for the full phase-space. The inclusive measurement is performed, as well as differential measurements with respect to mass, transverse momentum and the boost of the tt system. These studies are done using data with an integrated luminosity of 20 fb−1 in pp collisions at 8 TeV, collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC.
