Electron transparency studies with an exchangable mesh Micromegas chamber — •Fabian Kuger — Julius-Maximilians-Universität, Würzburg, Germany — CERN, Geneva, Switzerland

The electron transparency of micromeshes is one of the key parameters to be taken into account when defining the working conditions of a micromegas detector. In most applications the mesh transparency is an inherent parameter of the detector, which usually has a fixed build-in mesh. Hence systematic studies of the transparency are rare. An Exchangable Mesh Micromegas (ExMe) consisting of seperated drift- and readout- panels and an easy to exchange mesh frame has now been designed and built. This provides the opportunity to study systematically the influence of different meshes keeping all other detector inherent parameters unchanged. Results from this transparency studies will be presented in this talk.
