Measurement of W boson mass with the D0 detector — •Jakub Cuth — Johanes Guttenberg Universität, Mainz, Germany
The Standard model (SM) has proven its strong predictive power during decades of high energy physics experiments. One of the key parameters of the SM is the mass of W boson. The consistency of SM can be tested by the precise measurement of the W mass. In this talk, we are presenting first measurement of MW using data from D0 experiment collected during runIIb3,4 of Fermilab Tevatron collider. The analysis is focused on eν decay channel of W bosons produced at pp collision with energy √s = 1.96 TeV.
