Measurement of the top quark mass in the semileptonic decay channel in the CMS Experiment — Peter Schleper, Hartmut Stadie, Eike Schlieckau, Markus Seidel, and •Nataliia Kovalchuk — Institute of Experimental Physics, Hamburg, Germany
The mass of the top quark, the heaviest fundamental particle, has been measured very precisely in the run 1 of the LHC with the CMS experiment. The current status of these measurements is presented in this talk with special focus on the investigation of the modelling uncertainties. We will present new approaches to estimate these uncertainties and give an outlook to the mass measurements in run 2.
