Studies of the Higgs CP mixing angle in the di-tau channel with ATLAS — •Clara Callenberg, William Davey, and Jochen Dingfelder for the ATLAS collaboration — Physikalisches Institut, Nussallee 12, 53115 Bonn
Now that a Higgs boson was found by experiments at the LHC, its properties are to be investigated. The decay channel where the Higgs boson decays into two τ leptons is particularly suitable to learn about the particle’s behaviour under CP transformation.
An approach to determine the CP mixing angle in H → τ τ decays will be presented in this talk. The method is based on the 1-prong decays of the τ leptons and uses the τ’s charged track, exploiting information on its impact parameter. The feasibility of reconstructing variables that allow for a sensitive measurement of the Higgs CP mixing angle will be discussed.
