The Monitoring Service at the Materialprüfungsamt NRW in Dortmund develops a new thermoluminescence dosemeter system for the application in large-scale individual dose monitoring. The Experimentelle Physik IV at the TU Dortmund participates in this project, especially in the development of the automated analysis of the data which comes in the form of thermoluminescence glow curves.

The recorded glow curves of the dosemeter depend mainly on the exposed irradiation dose. In addition, their shape is sensitive to other parameters, especially to those of environmental conditions. A preheating process is applied to minimize those effects which influence the dose assessment. However, due to this process information gets lost. It is desirable to receive this additional information from the glow curves and consider them in the dose assessment.

Instead of using a preheating technique, a mathematical model can be fitted to the spectrum, which provides variables for the further analysis. Such an analysis offers the possibility to investigate the correlation between the environmental influences and different parameters of the glow curve. The talk will summarize the current analysis status.
