Measurement of the mixing parameters of neutral charm mesons and search for indirect CP violation with D0 → KS0 π+ π− decays at LHCb — •Stefanie Reichert and Johannes Albrecht — Technische Universität Dortmund
The hadronic decay D0 → KS0 π+ π− provides direct access to the measurement of the mixing parameters of the neutral charm meson system and allows to test for CP violation. In the neutral D meson system, the physical eigenstates D1,2 are a linear superposition of the flavour eigenstates D0 and D0 as |D1,2⟩ = p |D0⟩ ± q | D0 ⟩. A measurement of the mixing parameters x ≡ (m1−m2)/Γ and y ≡ (Γ1−Γ2)/(2Γ) as well as of the parameters |q/p| and φ = ar(q,p), which govern indirect CP violation, will be performed based on a time-dependent amplitude-model analysis of the full LHCb dataset of 2011 and 2012, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb−1. The decay mode D0 → KS0 π+ π− is accessible via D* decays produced directly in the pp collisions as well as via semileptonic B decays. Through a combined fit of both data sets, the measurement will be sensitive at all D0 decay times. The status of the analysis will be presented.
