Evolving the quantum field state in high-intensity laser fields – from vacuum to many-pair states — •Anton Wöllert, Heiko Bauke, and Christoph H. Keitel — Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik, Saupfercheckweg 1, 69117 Heidelberg
Interaction between the vacuum and high intensity-lasers will lead to new phenomena in high-field physics [1, 2]. We present numerical studies for pair creation the intermediate regime between the tunneling and the perturbative multi-photon regime. In this regime the pair creation dynamics shows multi-pair states and non-trivial time-dependencies of observables like the momentum and the spin of the produced pairs [3, 4]. Our ab initio simulations are performed for a space- and time-dependent external electromagnetic fields of two counterpropagating monochromatic laser fields with various polarizations.
