Funding Opportunities Provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) — •Holger Finken — DAAD, Kennedyallee 50, 53175 Bonn
Researchers international mobility is key to the successful advancement of science. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has been offering support schemes for scientists and scholars since its foundation as a grass-root movement in 1925, both for Germans wishing to study and/or do research abroad and for foreign academics wishing to do the same in Germany. The presentation will discuss DAAD programmes suitable for German and international postdocs, in particular P.R.I.M.E. (Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience), a hitherto EU-supported programme open to all nationalities, as well as other funding schemes. The paper will give an overview of funding details, application procedures, selection criteria, and recent results.
